Thanks for the tip! I'll go try this out right away...I've been having constant stability problems with Mandrake and my new asus k7n8x deluxe nforce2 board. Hopefully this will help. Do you have any suggestions for a good lilo config? Any special kernel options to pass? Thanks, Hez On Mon, 20

I've been using the xfce4 beta here as well, though I've hacked around with the setup a bit, so I'm using the gnome panel rather than the xfce panel. That gets around the menu issue (sort of). But it's not a 'true' xfce desktop then I suppose. It's really great though, I've loved it so far. And

I tried what you mentioned in this thread (I've been following it b/c normal suspends don't work on my computer). However, when I uncomment the line in the suspend file, and add suspend=/dev/hda6, my laptop will suspend on its own 2 or 3 times just during startup (??), each time shutting down comp

Thanks for the pointers. It apparently is a known bug, sorry to have wasted list space on something like this! The GPL flash library looks quite cool, I'll have to check that out... Thanks again for your help, Hez On Sun, 2003-03-23 at 20:01, J. Grant wrote: > Did you try the version at http://
