Is there any way to get Mandrake to write its log files to SQL tables so that
queries on the logs can easily be written using PHP/MySQL? Perhpas this should
be a wish list item?

I have /boot on my non-RAID disk. My RAID is mounted at /home.
How do I set up the initrd to load RAID modules?

I've set up a software RAID 0 on my 8.2 system and it works very well.
Until, that is, I need to restart at which point the system won't mount
/dev/md0 and complains of 'invalid file type'. I don't have to restart very
often (thankfully) but when I do I need to make a backup forst then reset

I want to install a RAID on my server, currently running Mandrake 8.2, in
order to imporve data integrity and guard against hardware failure. I've
downloaded raidtools-0.9 rpm and installed it, the next things is to buy the
hardware. I'm not sure whether to run RAID 1 or RAID 5, presumably I'll ne
