[expert] Two problems

I'm using Mandrake 8.0 and have two problems: 1) When using XMMS or any multimedia application, which uses PCM for sound output, sound comes only from my rear speakers (SBLive!). And that's an important problem for me, since my subwoofer requires that sound comes also from the front speakers. 2)

Hi. I'm using Mandrake 8.0 and have installed all updates also. But I've seen only security and important bug fixes. Are there any updates for new releases of applications (for example Mozilla 0.9)? Or do we have to download them and install manually? Thanks. - Serdar

add "video=riva:800x600-32@100" to the kernel parameters in lilo.conf, but it didn't work. I have checked dmesg output, but there was not a message related to rivafb. I'm using Mandrake 8.0. How can I use a special framebuffer device??? Thanks. = Serdar Oz
