Yeh I am, but for a temporary thing it would be quite handy.

How do I change the configuration so that users can post web pages?

How do I make apache see these directories, do I have to add each one to

does the anonftp allow for more than anonymous ftp? I have been trying

if you loaded the smp kernel when you installed it works out of the box,
if not it is easy to recompile the kernel to turn it on.

the mandrake page is in the script file that mandrake uses to call the netscape
binary file. it is simple to remove from there. do a search for netscape and
then look inside the file, it check to see if you have the navigator or
communicator versions installed and then starts it with that file
lo is a loopback device which is not an actual device but allows your machine
to see your machine, you should have an eth* if you want to see more than
just your computer.

I recently had to do a similar thing, but it was not a ata-66 card.
I had to add an append="ide2=0x***" where the *** is the io address of

Yes, but must be:
append="ide2=0xXXX,XX hde=ide-scsi"
For kernel 2.2.12 and possibly some earlier, you no longer need the
hde=ide-scsi.

ok I changed the hardware to 0180h
then did linux ide2=0x180 at lilo prompt
then did insmod ide-scsi after boot
and it works
so this should work once I change lilo to match
put
append="ide2=0x180 ide2=ide-scsi"
