However, from a cdrom you only ever get a 0 byte file - I presume this

Excuse me for the subject of this mail. I'm furious.

Under LM8.1, using gnome,...
Why nautilus opens when I mount a CD? How can I disallow it?

I like Nautilus (1.0.4) and Evolution (1.0.1) both very much, however a
couple of things really bother me. I have looked at the documentation
and tried all sorts of preferences settings.
1. When you insert and mount a CD Nautilus starts. How can I avoid
this?

Hi,
any time I mount a drive, cdrom etc, the machine grinds to a halt whilst
a copy of nautilus is spawned. Is there:
1) a way to turn this off or specify a better file manager (lighter on
resources for one)
2) Even better, a way to spawn another program depending on mount point

As far as not finding the library... Why not just make a symlink to the

I've just upgraded Nautilus to the latest build. Quite a number of hoops
to jump thru. I had installed a Mozilla rpm the 1st go round. I
subsequently installed the latest daily build (which is ver. 7, as
needed by nautilus), leaving the rpm in place for Nautilus purposes. I
then uninstalled the Mo

If so, did you use their installer or by installing the required rpms?
