[expert] CD-RW drive opinion

I currently have a sony crx140 that is dying. THe place I bought it from will offer me a panasonic/matsushita CW-7586 in exchange. Should I accept this? The drives are both 8x4x32. TIA, John W

Thanks for the pointer. The problem was the cdrom* links to hd* not to scd*. The only thing else was that the perms on the scd* needed to allow world read so anybody could play cds. I didn't see that on the web site, though I didn't look to closely. Rich. Tom Brinkman wrote: > > Will prodemo
