You can put linux anywhere you want to on your HD, but the /boot partition must be below the 1024 cylinder limit. Many users make a 10-12 mb partition near the front of the drive for /boot and the rest of the linux installation can be anywhere on the drive. On Sun, 30 Apr 2000, you wrote: > All:

All: I'm admittedly a Linux Newbie, but nowhere near a newbie when it comes to machines and software OS'es... I date back to MS-DOS 3.3 Days. I thought I'd prevail upon the experts in the list. I''m trying to get Lilo or Powerquest's Bootmagic to work as a bootloader. Only problem is: Lil
