Here is the setup I have a 486 box driving a Winprinter with (what else could it be?) windows which is on my LAN. Mucho many Win95 and Win98 WinWorkboxes print to that printer. So also did a lone LinWorkbox running Festen. Nothing mysterious. SMB shared printer. The Festen box had Samba

Having a printing problem. When I try to print anything it just sits in the spool dir. Anyone know what this error from lpq means? I'm using a standard Mandrake 6.1 install, printer is on lp0 and it's the local lpt1: port. Everything was setup with printtool. I dont know why it says remo

I'm trying print a postscript file (output by Vim). When I preview in gv everthing looks good, but when I print the last 3 lines for each page end up on a page by themselves. So a 3 page file ends up 6 pages. 3 good pages and 3 pages with only 3 lines on them?? I tried printing the straight te
