Yeh, I've been there, and all it says is the I128 is supported and should work. That's why I've got such a quandry. The XFree86.0.log reveals the following just before it bombs in X4.2: (--) I128(0): Unmapping memory (II) do I need RAC? No, I don't. (II) resource ranges after preInit:

Ok, Hopefully, this post gets through to the list. I really really need advise. Guys, I have tried everything! I have completely reloaded (rpm -Uvh --force) all of the XFree... and X11... packages. I have tried msec 2, msec3, etc.. and nothing works. I've tried XFdrake --expert
