Praedor, Not doubting you findings one iota, the irony here is that for me and my hardware the opposite is true. I love the 9.0 kernel over the 8.2 because of it's support for the i810 and i830 chipsets along with other hardware I have. Under 8.2 no dma no vga support (of any quality etc.)
