id like to make the following changes impact will be minimal
/buildgroups is the only active service on buildsys.pfp.o where plague used to
run. its only needed for mock building using epel targets so the increaded
load will be insignificant. the change will be trasnparent to end users.
Since we're back to more invasive changes I'd like to install the rhel 5.2
beta kernel on xen1 and reboot it. It died today and I suspect this is
because of iscsi issues we've seen before (rare, but still happening)

This weekends outage we disabled crond on a bunch of the boxes. We forgot
to re-enable them on a few. I'd like to enable them.

I'd like to disable our balancer from checking zabbix on all but two of
our servers. Its been filling mysql connections (currently 210) causing
issues with our other applications and backups. This is a low risk change
to fix an issue.

inside of phx all machines are using koji2 for koji.fp.o koji2 is the new 32
bit guest. which is working fine except that it has 2gb ram. currently it is

We've got a tech on site that needs to take backup1 down to install an SAS
adapter and new tape drive. You may remember this was requested before,
we didn't have the right cable / card on site so the request was approved

Well since we've got the time I'd like to rebuild app3. its the last of
our FC6 boxes. This is a low risk operation since we're not really using
app3 for much now anyway (only the smolt wiki). Plus it'll be a:
1) build new app3
2) verify it works
3) destroy old app3
