I installed FC11 over my previous FC10 installation. Now the computer boots,
but the palimpsest disk Utility reports a failing disk. I'll replace it.

Its very very odd that the FC10 live cd works but not the install one.
Are they both using the same kernel ?
The stall sounds suspicious - remove the "q

I recently moved from Slackware to FC10. I previously noted that an old
harddisk and cdrom weren't recognized during boot. Now however, due to unknown
changes, my FC10 root disk isn't recognized. boot ends with the messages:
setuproot: moving /dev failed: No such file or directory
setuproot
