so sorry to hear about Rudy but I loved reading what you wrote about her. She sounds like she was a special kitty and you were very lucky to have eachother for 13 years. What an inspiration!

We need to hear stories of long-lived (though never long enough) FeLV+ kitties as much as you need to share Rudy's story. What a wonderful spirit she was and that sounds like the kind of passing I want for myself and all my loved ones - peaceful, safe.. I'm so sorry it was her time, but so very p
Sheila,
I am so sorry. I am glad she had an easy passing. I am
shocked to hear that she had FeLV from kittenhood and lived to be 13. I know it
seems too short, and it is, but my hope for my positive cats, which I never
dared to hope before, is now that they too will live to 13, and tha
Sheila ... Rudy was a sweetie and you
have been blessed to have her with you that long, too. My sympathies to
you and your hubby in your loss. She surely left a huge empty space in
your lives and hearts.

Sorry your Smokey is positive. My Effie was 3 months old when I found her
behind a gas station dumped in the bushes .. she tested positive. During
the first few months she had periodic fevers but seemed to "outgrow" them.
Oddly, stress would bring on her fever, too. She delighted us for 3-1/2
She was a lucky, lucky girl to have you and your husband for her
purrents. What a good Meowmy and Fafur you were to her. She fell
asleep secure in her knowledge that you loved her with all your hearts.
Now she's free, playing at the Rainbow Bridge, waiting for the day when you

Sheila,
I'm so sorry to hear about "Rudy"
Don't apologize for talking and writing about your sweetie.
When we love them so much we tend to say much more about them. It helps in our grieving process to talk about our losses.
The time will come and you will be with her again at the bridge.
Yo
Sheila,
Rudy came to the right place when she found you! It is remarkable that
you had a positive kitty for 13 years - you did well by her. Rudy was
very lucky to have found such a great kitty mom. She still loves you.

I am so very sorry but know that Rudy has not left
you. She is very close by and always will be. She is so grateful
that you stayed with her and let her do this her way. It was the best
showing of love you could give her. She loves you and knows how much you

My baby Rudy passed today at 4: PM. My husband and I stayed with her all day she slept between us, so I know she was where she wanted to be. She passed so peacefully looking in my eyes. I have lost a lot of kitties in my life but never one to go so quickly and easily. A few short breaths, no crie
Thanks for your help. I am taking Smokey to a new vet
this afternoon. The vet I have used for years and
years has never said anything about immuno-regulan.
Hopefully this new vet will have some newer ideas on
how to treat Smokey. I just felt like my old vet felt
like he had done all he could fo
IMHO, that's an on interpretation, an infection is indicated by a HIGH white blood cell count, not a low one. I don't have any experience with anemia or otherwise unexplained fevers, but I know that at least one other person here does, so hopefully s/he'll pop up soon w/some advice!cindy reasoner
Hi
I used it a couple of years ago on my fiv cat.
She was anemic and found it helped alot. But she was so far
gone by the time I used it she had the side effects of the ill
feelings but within a few hours she was like a new cat for a day.
There are different protocols.
One is 3x a week then
Anybody else have experience with immuno-regulan?

Did your vet give your Tucson the immuno-regulin in a
shot or through an IV? Did she have to stay at the
vet or get to go home? I might need to go to another
vet because my conversation today the vet seemed like
we had done all we could do for Smokey. The fever is
the big thing with him. He kee
I'm so glad you took Rudy to another vet. You both are in my prayers.[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I'm so angry with my vet. I took Rudy to another vet today because I thought it just did not feel right. My regular vet didn't do blood work. He knows she has felv so I thought that would be the first th
My Tucson has had two episodes of low white blood count. Vet gave her a
series of immuno-regulin shots; brought it back up. Just a thought...

The bloodwork showed he was anemic, red and white
blood cell count low. The white blood cell count was
at the border of low & normal. He had been on Baytril
for awhile and the vet said she would of thought it
would not have been at that level after being on
antibiotics. His platelets were low too.
Why does your vet say that there's an infection somewhere? Does the bloodwork indicate it? I know that there have been a few people on-list who have had FeLV+ kitties with unexplained/idiopathic fevers. How very frustrating for you and your family! Am sending strength and calm for all of you.Ba
Thank you for answering me. I live in Morristown, TN
and Smokey is now about 8 months old. He was a stray
in our neighborhood so before I brought him into my
house I took him to the vet and had him checked out
because I have several other cats. One of my cats is
diabetic. That is when I had him
