The time to start using it is before they are

since my Calawalla and Mittens died - I did the
same thing, thought I'd wait till they showed
symptoms, but a I understand, it's too late
then. I see no side effects at all with mine.

I stopped using it because I could not see any positive effects it was
having (which is not to say there weren't any) and I thought it might be
bothering Lucy's IBD.

Oh, interesting, Hideyo. No, neither of mine are symptomatic. Satch is still getting over a cough, but both of their energy levels are quite high, appetites good, bright eyes, etc.
I am looking for preventative treatments right now, hoping to keep symptoms at bay for as long as I can get.

kitties who are not symptomatic and am not using it – as there are some

Four of my FELV kitties have died in the last 4 years. Three were
2.5-3 yrs old. Of the FELV kitties I've lost, 3 have been to
mediastinal lymphoma. One I'm not sure but think he had it in his
intestines (he had chronic diarrhea). He was FIV/FELV.

Statistics show that positives are 600 times more likely to get lymphoma

have not lost a positive to anything else, though Buddy was never definitively
