I have a Polaroid 4000 on the same Adaptec 2930U SCSI card as my three SCSI
drives (CD-ROM, CD-RW, and Zip). Everything works just fine, given that I
don't run anything else while I'm using the film scanner. You might not want
to put the scanner on the same SCSI bus as your hard drive, however.
I just looked at the Polaroid 4000 and Canon scans of the Halloween slide,
after reading that comment that the Polaroid didn't look much (or any) better
than the Canon. One reason might be that the slide was inserted backwards in
