There are a number of people with the 2200 in hand.
They exist (even on the west coast of Canada where I am (but are still
special order)). You have hit the often created distribution brick
wall, which occurs early in the launch of a product that ended up very
popular and in demand.

Actually, here in Vancouver Tricera, the main Epson dealer, has at
least 8 or so at present, and has sold a lot already over the last
couple of months. While I was in there yesterday for some supplies
there were 3 customers there who all had bought a 2200 there.

Thanks to all who replied to my post about apparent current scarcity of the
Epson 2200 printer.
The scarcity seems to be real.
I have a 1270 which works well and will have to suffice until the drought
is over, I guess.
