The "upper" mordent, called Schneller by CPE Bach, is indeed normally indicated by the m character in Finale fonts. The normal mordent (with the lower note), is the same with a vertical stroke through it (M). Dennis And BTW, the normal English name of the ornament is "inverted mordent." It
