You didn't mention whether you were on a PC or a Mac -- it makes a
difference. However, if you are on Windows, you would do it one of (at
least) two ways:
(1) Bring up the "Character Map" applet. On my computer, it's start |

I've written a piece based on Conon de Bethune's "Ahi! Amours." The first
"e" in Bethune has an accent acute (ยด) over it. I can do the e, and I can
do the accent, but I don't know how to do both. Any suggestions? Thanks,
