Steve, Martin said he has a new PowerBook G4, so there's absolutely no need for him to go scouring eBay for OS 9.2.2. A fully functional Classic system folder (OS 9.2.2) came preinstalled on his computer. What he's asking about is an error message that pops up when you try to install Finale 2

If you are a new Mac user you might not know that not all Macs can boot into System 9 any more. However they can boot into classic and if with the use of a shareware app called MidiBridge9X you can use finale on OS X (with midi ins and outs). Even without MidiBridge9X finale will run in Classic

I just got a new Mac Powerbook G4 Laptop computer, and when I tried to install FinMac 2003 onto it, I got a dialogue box that says since this will be running in Classic, to reboot the computer in OS9 and then install Finale. There is no OS9 on this computer. Now what? Martin _
