Philip Aker gave you one good suggestion - another is that rarely is the
process which you outline the way to put files onto CD. Often there is
an additional step of editing the sound file in some way to boost, cut
or normalize the volume, at the very least. Other editing often occurs,
also.

I save a file as Standard Midi, then convert it to .aif. with Ultra Recorder
and burn it to a CD with Toast. Why does it come out so soft? I h
