Implode and Explode Music are essentially useless because they always requantize the
music. This is a long-standing problem about which I have bitterly complained for many
years (since v1.0.)
You are correct that this is a prime consideration for a plugin. (Lightbulb going off
in head.)

When the two parts are written in such a way that what I want is layer
1/layer 2, the process of moving things around is very easy.
But when the two parts are, for example, moving jointly in thirds, I have
