Hmm. I've also had a couple of probs with my Creative Prodikeys
Keyboard. Mainly - the quote keys don't always work in word processing,
and come to think of it, they are what's needed here! The more that I
think about it, the quote keys act exactly the same in both apps!

Change the smart shape placement options temporarily so that slurs are
far away from the notes. Those slurs which haven't been changed will
move away, while those which have been adjusted will stay put.
