Let me guess; you used the Mac transfer application to set up your
new computer from your old one?
THis happened to me too. You will have to trash your Finale
preferences. Rebuilding them is a bit of a pain, but you will get all
your palettes and windows back.

Responding to my observation about the sizes of updaters for WINFIN
since 2k, Barbara asked

1.5-8 MB and the rest is dependent
I expect in the near future, that I, too, will be dragged, if not

Finale update. (Crash-on-quit, HP problems, crash-on-playback etc.)
For some reason, the updater had not installed all of the new files
in the right place and so I wasn't getting the proper update. I have
my Finale app a few
