I've noticed on my setup that I need to use the separate number pad for note
lengths in Speedy - the numbers on the main part of the keyboard don't work
in this context.
And, as mentioned above, remember the NumLock.

OK now I've done it. While attempting to correct total strangeness
coming from Finale through my midi keyboard, I seem to have
disconnected it altogether so that I cannot do input from the midi
keyboard. I desperately need to:
1. reconnect so that I can use my keyboard for input, and
2.
Can you be more vague about the keyboard? Did you mess up the settings
in audio/midi? Does it work for other programs like GarageBand?

A few days ago I asked about the M-Audio Keystation Mini 32 and got good

I used to be good at skimming manuals for the important stuff, but I lost some

Dear Klaus,
In spite of space problems, I think you will be happier overall with a 49 to 61
key keyboard, so I encourage you in this pursuit, assuming you can manage to
find the room. (Mine is an M-Audio 61, and I sometimes run out of bass notes

I use the Oxygen8 when I am using a laptop out of town. Download the latest

Thanks to you and Chuck for the replies!
My OSX and my Finale version both are current. As is my Oxygen8 driver, where
the installer solved my worries about not finding the OMS folder mentioned in
the manual I found. Already Chuck’s reply had me look for more options. There

This is really weird! I have NEVER had the numeric keypad stop working on me
before, but it just started behaving just as you said, refusing to recognise
key presses! A reboot of the computer solved it, but man, I was weirded out for
a minute there! Ghosts, or something, I guess.

Adjusting the rolled chord articulation symbol is a big time sink for me. I
can't seem to figure out how to automatically set the symbol to the length
that I want so that the symbol appears correctly (to my eyes) when I use the

It seems temporarily lost the ability to Undo. I never changed anything, and

I've had the exact thing happen, with the same result when quitting and
restarting. Haven't clue why this happens.
