When you explode staves, measure-attached smart shapes do not get exploded onto
the new staves. I don't know why; they just don't, and never have for as long
as I have been using the program. You have to copy them separately after
exploding, using the filter and the selection tool copy function.
I've often found out the hard way that highlighting the entire staff DOES
NOT move the entire staff for the whole document. I've had many documents
where the staff is only changed for a about 3 or 4 of the subsequent
systems.

I just wanted to jump in and hopefully offer some help on this. The new staff
spacing system is done on a selection basis, and while it can be difficult to
select just the one handle for spacing an individual system, please be aware
that you can also simply select the region you'd like
I actually have a QuicKey setup to do just that via TGTools (you have to
have "option" held down to involve a plug-in without the dialog box) but

Something that is turning into a bother is that I keep accidentally
destroying all my individual vertical staff positioning. I think it may
because it is so easy to select all systems rather than just one when
hiding a staff. I'm not sure but it is really annoying.
