I too would be very sorry to see the end of either this forum or Finale
itself.
I have learnt so much from postings here, from both responses to my own
questions and from postings on subjects which at first appeared to be
unrelated to my own work.
I too have Sibelius and I too use it only to
I'd like to echo Lawrence's comment. This forum is useful on a weekly basis. I
have learnt so much from others' questions as well as from answers to my own
questions.
It is invaluable.

As a long time lurker and nearly 20 year user of Finale I would really miss
this forum. I've learnt so much, both about Finale, but more interestingly,
about all sorts of fascinating topics.

I rely on all of you for very important information and find your postings to
be very useful and agree about your comments on Sibelius in relation to Finale.
Thanks to all of you.

Dennis, I would suggest you get involved in the MuseScore project. It is
nowhere close to being able to replace Finale or Sibelius yet, but
precisely because it isn't you might find that it could be molded in a
direction you would like.
Development is extremely active. Anyone who hasn't looked at

regularly provides helpful information and the discussions that get started are
very interesting as well

I suggest you visit the site:

It produces very good output...if the output it produces is what you want.
It is very far behind in customization features. I mention it here because
I think it has huge potential, not because it has yet achieved it.

I am wondering how to figure out the MIND ( or lack thereof) at MM;-)

Robert,
Your post about the musescore project illustrates emphatically
how invaluable discussion group participants are! Does this make sense to
anyone else?
Am I overstating this?
