[Finale] colors

Ha! That reminds me of a band I used to play in. The director wrote all the very important instructions in red felt pen to make them pop out. But then for one show, the lighting director insisted on red filters on the music stand lights. All those important markings disappeared! People missed re

Boy, what a mess! Thanks Christopher and Lon. Since I haven't yet to figure out a way to put colors on those signs alone, I'm at no risk presently, because everything is black :-) This is for classroom ensemble practice. No fancy lights. And I only want those two symbols red, or any color, for

I've been doing it by hand, using a marker. But it happens that I just bought a laser color printer, and I want it to do it for me :-) I figured the easiest solution would be to place the coda and segno signs as measure text blocks and have all other text blocks assigned to the page, because th

Great! That is what was missing. Thanks. Now, I don't understand this: If "Layer Colors Apply to All Items" is checked, if Layer 1 is black, 2 and 4 red and 3 green, and I was placing the expressions in Layer 1, how come they were showing in blue? Shouldn't they be black? Doesn't "Layer Colors A

i have never used "Layer Colors Apply to All Items" for my own work but i suppose it has to do with the expression definition. the default is that the expression is set to show on "All layers" and since not assigned to a specific layer uses the default colour for expressions. when you define
