I use a custom guitar sound library in Kontakt and then use patch changes in
expressions to change to different effects/sounds
If you are just using standard sounds, maybe try doing a patch change to some
sort of drum or percussive sound would be good enough?

transferred a bunch of quickeys from earlier versions of Sibelius and
just have never remapped stuff.

No, it still can't. The fingerings are unchanged. And the magnetic
layout doesn't really help with fingerings when trying to position
them in front of notes.

Yeah, there's several threads in the Finale forums on MakeMusic's web

the dialog popped up, I just did a "replace font with..."
and set it for Times. I don't think I had the problem anymore after
telling it to swap the fonts.

also. I just got finished scanning in some music and it did a
remarkable job on much of it. Then I just exported to XML.
