I have also noticed that when you tie a note across a measure line, it plays
the note TWICE.
I pointed this out before several times. Why don't they fix this?

If the eighth notes each count as 1/2 beat in the 4/4 piece, you can do a Copy
and Paste from one to the other. Were the 12/8 notes written as triplets (3
notes per beat)? You might have to change the time duration first.
Or you can do the Copy and Paste, then change the time duration as

By stave setup do you mean the key signature tools option?
If I want to transpose from C up a major 6th for example, it puts 3 sharps in
the key
signature. Something I want to avoid. The other choices are hold notes to
chromatic pitches
or hold notes enharmonically. I don't want those either
Something else I noticed -
I had a lead sheet with chords attached to the melody line.
I tried to transpose it without changing the melody, from C major to F major,
so I used other and specified hold pitches modally in the key signature
menu.
To my utter amazement, it transposed the chords ! !
When I asked about this some time ago,
someone remarked well it is the key of C.
revealing their lack of knowledge.
In a complex orchestral piece, the composer sometimes does not want a key
signature,
since there would be a plethora of accidentals no matter what key you are in.
One example is
Hmm - I seem to have started a row.
Well, I wanted to keep the same tempo per quarter note,
normally 4/4 measures,
but this particular phrase had an extra two beats in it.
I thought it would be easier to make a measure 6 beats, instead of
splitting it up into a 4/4 and a 2/4 measure.
In other
I have not seen this before. Have any of you?
When I have a measure of 6/4, and I use SLASH notation,
it puts only 2 slashes for a 6/4 measure.
Is there a way around this problem? I want to avoid a HAND edit.

That's because the setup costs are minimal, the melody fits on the staff.
