I've been using Ghent-Percussion 1.5 (2001) suite for a few
months without any apparent problems in OSX 10.3.9 PPCG4 and OSX
10.4.2 PowerBookG4.
I'd be interested in knowing what OSX version you're on?

Curiouser and curiouser. It's working now in Fin05, too. I think Fin05
must have a cache somewhere of what it thinks the fonts are, and I must
have done something to have it go back to the source. (Before, I had
merely created a new text exp., but this time I created a custom shape.)

By now you will have seen my previous post about AAT Font Tool. I will
add that the *only* OSX program I've found that my processed Ghent font
fails in is Fin05.
