When I use the document setup wizard to create a new file the page size
default is "letter".
Is there any way I can change this to A4?
At the moment I have to manually change the page size every time and with
my great age and weakening intellect I very often forget. To have the
default as A

I did this (on a Mac) by going to
(root)>Library>AppSupp>MM>Fin2012>MusicFiles>DefaultFiles>MaestroFontDefault
and using the Page Layout tool to changethe paper size.

I've sorted it - it wasn't the "Maestro Default" file that controlled this
but the "Engraved Default" file.

The default page size chosen in the Setup Wizard is controlled by the Document
Style. The default document style is “Engraved Style”: that’s the file you need
to edit.
If you have other page sizes you use regularly you can create other document
styles, each with the page size, appropriate margi
find differences
with a more recent version.

Yes, that was the file I changed in earlier versions. For Finale 2012 I
needed to edit the "Engraved Default" file.
