Hi Daniel and Chia, This was indeed the problem. I had the Developer Tools installed, but they were vintage April. Apparently, the upgrade to Jaguar broke them. That was why gcc did not work. So, I updated the Developer Tools to the July, and then August versions. After that, I was able to ru

I am trying to use apt-get to install the mysql binnary but get the E:Couldn't find package mysql. I have tried several other packages, but I also get the same error message. It seams that there apt-get cannot find any of the binnaires. I have tried in both Mac OS X 10.1.5 and 10.2. Please help, t
