I am running Panther and have successfully installed KDE through the
Fink bundle. KDE works fine in full screen mode using Apple's X11 from
Aqua; however, I would like to run KDE without Aqua. From the console
"startx" just gives me a blue screen with mouse and nothing else;

I just build mozilla-1.5 from sources.
so i just tried gaim again to make sure it was still a problem and now
i have a different error: gaim has segfaulted and attempted to dump a

It looks like install-info wants you to have /sw/bin/perl, and it's not
available on your system. What do you get if your run "head
/sw/sbin/install-info" in a terminal window?

I'm not sure about the text issue--I'm building it right now to see if
I can replicate the problem.
Turning on unstable does mean that "fink install" will select package
versions from unstable--"apt-get" will continue to give the same
versions that it did before.
