I am aware of this problem, and have a fix for it. Another fink
developer (James) seems to get to the problem before I do, and I am in
the process of verifying his fix. The patched version should show up
in 24 hours.

Hallo Shawn,
there are problems in building openh323 on Panther. There is a make error
at the end of the compilations. The full build log is available (not
sending to the list as it is LONG), the final
error is:
H323_iLBC_Capability_15k2_Registration*H323_iLBC_Capability_15k2_Registration_Static
Ah, but at least it indexes:)
Okay, I fixed it. Please be careful, Keith.

Dear fink developers,
Last spring, when we introduced versioned -pm packages (-pm560, -pm581, etc),
in many cases we created "placeholder" packages: a foo-pm package which
depends on the user's choice of foo-pm560, foo-pm581, etc.
These packages have created problems since then, particularly for

Thanks,
I have notified the maintainers of io-string-pm and xml-write

Well, there are some problems here.
For example, bioperl-pm560 depends on xml-writer-pm, but xml-writer-pm is
a placeholder package, and it

Hi,
These can be moved to stable:
graph-pm
heap-pm
text-shellwords-pm
xml-node-pm (+ versioned ones)
emboss
emboss-kaptain
kaptain
bioperl-pm (and versioned ones) as well, but then all the perlmodules
it depends on need to be moved too.
thanks,

It's not hard!
I was firstly curious why the packages weren't compliant with the
python policy, and then I found out that the package I had put into
10.3/unstable had been removed and replaced with an obsolete and
uncompliant version!!!
In the meantime, I'll just move the packages from 10.2-gc

has anyone used fink and darwinports together? Is there any advantage of
