Max Horn replied to me a few weeks ago about wxWidgets. I guess it seems to be
a similar problem. Regards to what you say, does it mean the freetype219
package could be set to replace freetype2 ?

I had to change the CXXFLAGS to
SetCXXFLAGS: -I/usr/X11R6/include -I%p/
