If you do a "source /sw/bin/init.csh" from the terminal you can then do a "sudo dselect" and, after putting in your admin password, have permission to add and remove files. Supposingly you're supposed to put the "source /sw/bin/init.csh" in your .cshrc and it automatically runs when you bring up
