Many of these do not seem to be in the Fink distro and some are
obviously part of KDE. I guess this means I wait until somebody manages
to port KDE over to Fink

Which of those are not links ?
When I do ls -s , all links _ soft and hard _ show up as size 0.
With ls -l , you'll see the real sizes
(this is the ls from fileutils, didn't check the behaviour of the
other.)

He is not the only one, as has been remarked before. This looks
like a kind of epidemic now. Several people had a non-working tar,
That's it! Thanks very much.
This version appears to be an OSX app and not XDarwin, but if you'll
pardon my continuing this thread in the Fink group, perhaps someone can
help me build the app. There's a problem.

After I installed xfontpath, my Terminal.app started to get wired. Every
time when I launched it, it took a long time for the prompt to appear. This
didn't happen when the Xdarwin was running. I tracked this down, and found

hi all
i'm trying to compile WMMail.app-0.64 but run across the following (perhaps simple) problem
cc -g -O2 -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/Volumes/sw/include -L/usr/X11R6/lib -L/Volumes/sw/lib -o WMMail global.o imap.o list.o maildir.o mbox.o mh.o net.o pop3.o properties.o std_icons.o wmmail.o
I had a similar problem before, but it doesn't occur anymore. What
version of xfontpath do you have?

hi,
I've been using mozilla for quite a while now and it seems to work quite
well except for one thing:
I can't save any preferences, and I can't use any ssl or eq. security
options.
any ideas why? (is it as simple as just to chmod/chown the corresponding
files, or what?)
thanks in advance
