hey all. i still get the same thing about xfree86 not being able to install due to conflicting with system-xfree86. but isn't that the whole point? system-xfree86 (as a placeholder) should let other programs compile against it with no problems, right? i'm not really sure where to go from here.

okay. so i did what they recommended (force removing system-xfree86) and starting the install over again. but i think i'm going to end up where i started again. i won't know until it gets to that point though. i feel that way because it asks to pick one of the following: (1) pango1-dev:
