Which "compress-zlib-pm" package was it trying to install? You should be able to install -pm560 without installing perl-5.6.1: I've got it on one of my machines, using only the builtin Perl. Otherwise, what you could do is sudo cp /usr/bin/perl5.6.0 /usr/bin/perl to revert the default perl exec
