Do you have /sw/include/libintl.h? It should have been installed by the gettext-dev package. Well this is interesting. I had libintl.h as of the last time locate ran: [/sw/src] root# locate libintl.h /sw/include/libintl.h However it's not there now: [/sw/src] root# ls -l /sw/include/libintl.h

My understanding (which is rudimentary) is that the update is the August 2003 patch that updates to gcc 3.3, which caused problems for fortran compilers, including g77 3.1 BTW is there a way to globally specify -lcc_dynamic for g77 3.4? All my fortran packages in fink are now breaking all

Well you can disregard the last message. The gettext-dev on my system was out of date and when I upgraded it the magic libintl.h file showed up. So somehow in doing the selfupdate yesterday, something happened such that libintl.h was taken away and then by updating the gettext-dev again it
