The email invitation I got to Leopard development from Apple today
piqued my curiosity. It seems as if the 10.4 tree was only recently
"stabilized". Do the fink gurus have any estimates of how easy or
difficult it will be to make the transition to Leopard?

With Apple X11, I often have problems when remote
connecting to linux boxes via ssh -X. The remote
linux apps often die with unknown X11 events. Don't
know if the xfree versions have this trouble or not.

I think I'll go with fink's XFree86 since it doesn't require rebuilding
packages and it's somewhat newer than apple's. I'm interested in the
script you referenced and will check it out.

Well here's something kind of interesting. Using MacOS10.4.8 and the
latest fink in unstable I'm getting this:
