Here are the results of the two requested commands. What I find most
surprising is that packages such as enthought-base-py25 and
traits-py25, which I believe also build through python, built and
installed just fine immediately prior to this failure.
/opt/fink/bin/python2.5 --version

For what it's worth, it built for me on 10.5.8 with a PPC, I'll try at
home with the Intel. Also, I have /sw/bin/python2.5 --version giving
Python 2.5.4. --Robert

While trying to install amarok2-mac fink quits with an error when
compiling xmms-1.2.10-5. I have to admit that the whole process didn't
went smooth, because I had to reload a package with a wrong checksum. I
did a selfupdate after the error. My machine is an MacBook with 10.5.7
and xcode 3.

Hello, Richard. Fink KDE4 native applications reside under /sw/opt/
kde4/mac/bin.
