I'm working on building Debian packages, that could be cross-built on
OS X but for their debhelper dependency.
Now, there's two ways to go.. Either cut out the dh_* from debian/
rules, to make it work without debhelper.
Or, to get and install debhelper on my iMac.
I'd like to get views
For your information, too, in case someone would like to test:
I've added Fink packages (OS X apt-get'ish installation system) to
LuaForge. The packages are pending for approval from the Fink
gatekeepers, but it wouldn't hurt to get some early feedback.
To recap:

no. :)
For packages s.a. that, it _really_ would make a difference. I don't

Fink is the last resort where SQLite3 has not surfaced, yet. Is there
a real reason for this (technical, otherwise?) or.. is it just not so
important?
SQLite3 is a more efficient, new version of SQLite. It is designed to
co-exist peacefully with old SQLite, so I see no real reason why Fink

Reinstalling fink (v.0.7.0 from source) I discovered that XCode was not
installed on my system.
Documentation says:
Under 10.3, be sure to install XCode from the XCode disk before
upgrading Fink.

I was trying to upgrade fink from 10.2 tree to 10.3 (which I have) with
_baad_ results. :!
I don't know what caused this, but am now getting errors like:

I was surprised to see that 'libffi' (foreign function interface) is
not available as a fink module.
Is there a reason for this, or just that no-one's needed / had the time
to port it?
Currently, libffi is part of the gcc development tree, and pretty
stable. Darwin/osx port exists, so it's
