In the Postfix distro, there's a rmail script but, afaik, it's not
installed by the fink package. Could it be installed to help UUCP users
to get their mails ?

No one else has stepped up to take it over. If you go to

Hi,
I've noticed that fink refuse to update since 10.2.7 is on my box.
A selfupdate-cvs ends with:

Hi, i've installed the leafnode package. All works fine, except that

Hi,
I've installed leafnode via fink and all is ok, except that fetchnews
log all its messages in /var/log/system.log, giving a rather messy
file.
I've tried to edit /etc/syslog.conf to redirect the news log messages
in /var/log/news.log (news.* /var/log/news.log), then kill hup'ed
syslogd but

Nope, nothing go to /var/log/news.log...

You mean news.none ?

Hi,
I've successfully installed sane and xsane from fink, but i'm unable
to find out how to configure sane to make it recognize my Epson 1240U
scanner.
With NetBSD, it was just a matter of putting a line like:
usb /dev/usbcanner0
in sane.d/epson.conf
but there's no such device on OS X...
Peter O'Gorman [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
Well, the man pages say a lot about this :)
I don't think so : i don't care about various options of sane if
nothing is said about connecting my scanner for my particular OS
(sample files are for Linux or *BSD) ;-)
The only thing i've found is in

usb libusb:-07:005
to my /sw/etc/sane.d/epson.conf solve some part of my pb : now,
xsane recognize my scanner.
But whatever i try next, xsane
