I used Disk Utility to correct permissions.
(Wonder why KWord can find my fonts but AbiWord can't?)

I used Fink to install AbiWord 2.0.6. It only installed "chalkboard"
font. I'd like to have a few more to choose from.
KWord has bunches of fonts so they must be somewhere on my drive.
Can someone tell me how to tell AbiWord where to find additional fonts?
Thanks in advance.

A friend gave me a CD of several files to convert to text.
Unfortunately, they are scanned image files, each with many pages.
I've tried a number of Mac and windoze programs but still end up with a
graphic of the text. Is there a "reasonably" easy way to get these
graphics into text? (I don
Is there a way to Fink install Kexi ?
I downloaded kexi-0.1beta3.tar.tz2
Then put it in sw/src (with the other tar.bz2 stuff)
The Kexi site says: Terminal enter:
tar xvjf kexi-VERSION.tar.bz2
cd kexi-VERSION
./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix`
make
su -c "make install"
I get :
tar xvjf kex
Hello
I use a TiBook, 10.3.3, most recent Fink, stable & unstable.
Selfupdate found a bunch of outdated stuff.
Update-All fails -- Filed: compiling gstreamer . . .
Tried to install gstreamer-0.6.4-5, and get:
depmode=gcc3 /bin/sh ../depcomp \
/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H
Use 10.3.3 and current KMail. Other KDE applications (like Knode) work
okay.
Kmail starts, shows tips (not long) and quits.
Is this a bug or do I have a system problem?

Because I couldn't get a 'good' install of Koffice, I uninstalled fink
and started over.
The installation (took days) looks complete with all installed
components showing as "current".
KDE starts okay. Koffice apps show in the Office Apps.
Select Kword (or any Koffice app) and the pen bounces
Gnumeric load okay.
(KDE now takes a long time to load.)

I'm trying to install the 'latest' "bundle-kde" because I want the koffice suite.
However, I get:

### execution of failed, exit code 1

Anyone know when Koffice will be available through Fink?
