[Fink-users] Is it okay to remove /sw/fink/10.1 ?

2003-01-12 Thread Thom Peters II
I'm using Mac OS X 10.2.3 and I update fink from cvs and unstable, so is it okay to get rid of /sw/fink/10.1? If not, will fink automatically delete 10.1 when I don't need it? Thom --- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: SourceForge Enterpri

[Fink-users] xjig-2.4-1 with -shapes

2003-01-12 Thread Thom Peters II
Well, xjig-2.4-1 works fine with Apple X11, particularly with the -shapes option. It's a little slow on my system, but it looks so cool! The -shapes flag draws the puzzle pieces without the background window. Each puzzle piece has it's own curved shaped shadows like in Aqua, and the pieces ac

Sorry to say, xjig seems to crash with a Segmentation fault. It built fine, and I did complete a very small puzzle (though it had odd shapes). But the other times I tried larger images (with regular shapes), I could get several pieces together and then about half way through it produces a seg

Apple's X11.app seems to be working for me. I used FinkCommander to remove xfree-rootless and shlibs threaded, force removed base, and removed base shlibs. I then installed both Apple's users X11 and the SDK (Safari makes that so easy with it's automatic decompress/mount/install). I also ins

Doh! I thought it would be more useful than that, or maybe it fixed some bugs. Well, it didn't take too long to compile. Can we get ChangeLogs for .info files? I know there's ChangeLog for the programs, but it would be really helpful to know what the difference is between x.x.x-3 and x.x.x

Anybody discovered the nifty shortcut to the darkside? It's referred to in System Preferences->Universal Access. Just press Ctrl-Opt-Command-* and the screen becomes black on white. Well, this seems to affect XDarwin when it's running. It seems okay to use this command when in the

[Fink-users] man pages not working

Hi all, First off, thanks for everything guys. I just updated to Mac OS 10.2 and did a few "fink update all"s. Now tcsh doesn't work the way it used to, and the aliases are gone, but I suspect that's Mac OS X's fault. More importantly, for some reason "man" doesn't work anym
