I tried to add 10.2 to /sw/etc/fink.conf without success.
What do I have to write where ?
Thanks,

I thought the selfupdate command was enough to get the latest fink. It
seems I was wrong...
I'll get the latest version fro
Here is my list - I am afraid that I do not have time right now to run this

I have the same version of fink installed - but have been able to build emacs21.
This sounds a lot like a conflict with some other package that is installed. I
wonder if it would be worthwhile comparing installed packages on different
installations? I will be glad to send you my fink list if you

I have.
Maybe I'm not using the correct download server ?
Could you compare my fink.conf with yours ?

I did.
In fact, there is no .info file for the version you're talking about :
% find /sw/fink/dists -name "emacs21*.info"
/sw/fink/dists/stable/main/finkinfo/editors/emacs21-21.2-6.info

Here the solution for the records:
For another s/w I tried to build (not fink), I made a softlink ln -s
/sw/include /usr/local/include. The preprocessor found out, that it has
twice the same directory in the search pat
Hi Martin,
Very strange problem: if I run fink install emacs21 then the configure
thinks it has to take /lib/cpp. But if I suspend the fink install just
before the configure and give exactly the same command on the command
line (as root) it works perfectly well. Could there be a permission
