Here's a few changes to the reg file that should make Firebird packageless.
Replace any occurrance of "VisualStudio" with "VWDExpress" to make the reg
file work on that Express edition:

VWD doesn't support DDEX extensibility at all? or
it does but the current Firebird.NET DDEX is not programmed for VWD Express
package?
If the second is the case. Is it just matter of someone takes the time to
program a DDEX for VWD Express?

Any ideas or is it not possible to use the DDEX provider with the
express edition.
The DDEX provider is package based and i'm not sure that it will work
with the express editions.

Not sure why but even after doing this it still wont accept it in
Visual web developer express. The error message displayed in event
viewer suggests that
"The data provider object factory service was not found"
I've tried both normal and back slashes.
