Ok, so I love fish in general and the original guy who was complaining before
was a bit rude, but I liked a few of his ideas. Namely that help should have a
consistent interface and it is currently kind of a mess.
I've been scouring the 'net when needing fish help and forgot why since it has

One of tiny features of fish 1.x that I liked was when searching

Hi,
I've upgraded from 2.0 to 2.1 on Ubuntu via ppp. I received this error:

Hi,
I've been waiting patiently for fish bug-fix releases, 2.0.x before upgrading

it. It's been about six months, but I don't believe they've materialized.
No particular reason, it's just what I usually do, especially for something as
important as a shell. Should I expect such a thing?

Ok, thanks for your help. I think I've gotten to the bottom of most if
not all of the troubles.
How I fixed the issues:
* First, I copied my customized vars from fishd.host to config.fish,
fixed the syntax, then saved.
* set -U seems to be the correct invocation for such a setting.
