Well, I certainly found Anneli's clear response to the bits and pieces of
information (and misinformation!) on the Fjord and its linkages to the Viking
era timely, having just spent the third of 4 days on site at the Museum of

Hello Mark,
We have also had a similar problem with one of our mares. Has produced 6

Shirley...I am very sorry to hear you lost your foal. I had no idea that
lack of the first milk would cause death in the foal. I wonder why...It
seems such a shame. I wonder if this always happens I am glad your mare

I don't know if this will help or not but your pony sounds like an appaloosa

Hi,
I would really appreciate some help or suggestions from every one of you, if
you have the time. I have a Fjord (my first) and a Haflinger (also my first).

give each to

Just thought I'd join into the discussion what to expect out of
these email lists. This winter I joined the EPM list as my Morgan mare
was diagnosed with EPM. I learned what my vet and his partner had to say
about it, I read all I could find about

Hi listers, I thought sometime we talked about viking horses and the
understanding I came away with, from the discussion and reading is, there

Hi Anneli-
Thank you for the great, long and informative post! Ancient history
fascinates me. I'm not very well educated, so most of my knowledge is from TV
shows, books, web sites... It's great to get a synopsis from someone who has
